25 When children shall be born to me, and children’s children, and I have grown old in the land, if I corrupt, pervert, destroy, ruin, decay, spoil, injure, marr, or rot myself by attending to a graven image in the form of anything, and give myself pain, unhappiness or misery in the sight of Jahuwah my Mighty Creator, provoking Him to anger, 26 Heaven and earth is a witness against me that I shall soon utterly be blotted out and done away with from the land which I possess. I will not live long upon it but will be utterly destroyed. 27 Jahuwah will spread us abroad among the peoples, and we will be left few in number among the nations to which Jahuwah will drive us. 28 There we will work for, serve by labor, serve as subjects, idols, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.
