What is the “Salt of the Covenant”?

From Leviticus 2 of Bear’s Prayers:

13 Every cereal offering I season with salt, the symbol of preservation; neither do I allow the salt of the covenant of my Mighty Creator to be lacking from my cereal offering; with all my offerings I offer salt.

Jahushuwah says something about salt in Matthew 5:13:

“You are the earth’s salt. But if the salt should become tasteless, what can make it salt again? It is completely useless and can only be thrown out of doors and stamped under foot.”

In Romans 12:1-2 it is written:

With eyes wide open to the mercies of Jahuwah, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him. Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let Jahuwah re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of Jahuwah for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.
