We all experience the same issue when we sign on to www.twitter.com. After we follow 2000 tweeters, Twitter blocks us from following more until those following us equals or exceeds 2000.
@jedipotter tweeted, “How am I supposed to get more followers w/ this lame 2000 rule?”
To which I replied, “Review Twitter rules. We all hit that wall.
”
Twitter member @hafie_zach wrote, “I’ve reached my FOLLOW LIMIT!!”
To which I replied, “I know what to do; review my tweets! This can be solved!
”
Here are some of the tools I recommended in those Tweets:
Follow 50@ a time w/ this tool: Buzzom.com
Add your user name to: www.wefollow.com People will find you because you share their interests and follow you.
After giving tweeters you have followed a couple days to follow you back, if they have not followed you in a couple days, you must ruthlessly unfollow them in mass so they to not hold you back on building your following. To do mass unfollows use Twitter Karma.
To discover even better Twitter tools to use, analyze those with huge followings by using Twitter Analyzer. This tool includes a tab that will analyze what tools those with big followings used to get their numbers.
There is a nice map of Twitter sites and resources here.
Auto follow Tweeters who share your interests based on keyword here.
You can get a free .pdf containing 201 Twitter Tools here.
