Is It Possible to Make the IRS Afraid of You?

My answer to the question in the title of this post is, yes it is. Look at this; in 2 Corinthians 1:19-22 of a version of the Renewed Covenant from which I removed all the references to pagan deities and put here, that (with my emphasis added):

“Jahshuwah the Anointed One, the Son of Jahuwah, whom Silvanus, Timothy and I have preached to you, is himself no doubtful quantity, he is the divine “yes”. Every promise of Jahuwah finds its affirmative in him, and through him can be said the final let it be so, to the majesty of Jahuwah. We owe our position in The Anointed One to this Mighty One of positive promise:”

In Acts 10:34 And Peter opened his mouth and said:

“In solemn truth I can see now that Jahuwah is no respecter of persons, but that in every nation the man who reverences him and does what is right is acceptable to him!”

When I take these two Scriptures together, what they mean to me is that what Jahuwah does for another, He will do for me; as long as I “reverence…him and do…what is right [and] acceptable to him…” So, every promise given by Jahuwah can be ours.

In Deuteronomy 2:25 I found the following promise:

“This day will I begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples who are under the whole heavens, who shall hear the report of you and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.”

And in Deuteronomy 28:1 I found that when we “…listen diligently to the voice of Jahuwah our Mighty Creator, being watchful to do all His commandments which [He commands us]” then He will make this promise come to pass for us from verse 10 (my emphasis added):

“And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name and in the presence of Jahuwah, and they shall be afraid of you.”

Look what I found the Yisra’elites singing in Exodus 15:13-16 (my emphasis added):

“You in Your mercy and loving-kindness have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your set-apart habitation. The peoples have heard of it; they tremble; pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia. Now the chiefs of Edom are dismayed; the mighty men of Moab [renowned for strength], trembling takes hold of them; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away–little by little. Terror and dread fall upon them; because of the greatness of Your arm they are as still as a stone–till Your people pass by and over [into Canaan], O Jahuwah, till the people pass by whom You have purchased.”

This promise is not an unconditional promise. On the contrary, these promises have conditions; let’s look at what they are:

1.       Acts 10:34: We must reverence him and does what is right and acceptable to him;

2.       Deuteronomy 28:1: We must listen diligently to the voice of Jahuwah our Mighty Creator and be watchful to do all His commandments;

3.       Exodus 15:13: We must be led by Jahuwah because it is the ones that allow Him to lead that he redeems with his strength.

    Exodus 23:22 Since I listen to & obey His voice & do all Jahuwah speaks, Jahuwah is an enemy to my enemies & an adversary to my adversaries.

    Exodus 23:27Jahuwah sends His terror before me and throws into confusion all the people to whom I do come, and He makes all my foes turn from me in flight.
