S.Ct. Holds Tax Laws are to be Construed to Avoid Unjust & Oppressive Consequences!


Taxation is an intensely practical matter and laws in respect of it should be construed and applied with a view of avoiding, so far as possible, unjust and oppressive consequences. Farmers Loan & Trust Company v. Minnesota, 280 U.S. 204, 50 S. Ct. 98, 74 L. Ed.371 (1930).
